All companies are legally required to have a registered address in the UK. It must be a physical address in the UK and not a post-box. Is it possible to register a limited company without revealing my home address?

Can I register a dormant company?

There is no special provision to register a dormant company at Companies House. However, you can make your new company dormant by simply notifying HMRC. You can inform HMRC that you have not started trading and you have no plans of trading in the immediate future and would like it to be classified as dormant. You can do this only after you receive your unique tax reference (UTR number). UTR number will be sent to the registered office address normally in about 3-4 weeks after new company registration.

When will I get my authentication code?

You get your authentication code as soon as your company is approved by Companies House. Your authentication code will be available on our online company manager portal and you can check it as soon as your company is formed.

What are your annual renewal charges?

What are the points to remember while registering a UK limited company?

  • The company name should end with ‘Limited’ or ‘LTD’
  • A minimum of 1 director & 1 shareholder should be appointed (one person can be both)
