This service allows the directors, shareholders and PSC’s to protect the privacy of their home from the general public. As soon as your VAT registration is approved, we will send the details to you by email. You will receive your VAT registration certificate by post from HMRC.

Virtual bank account setup (non-UK residents)

We have affiliations with a few institutions that offer UK virtual bank account for non-UK residents. This is a good solution for majority of businesses, with non-resident directors. You will get a UK bank account number, sort code and IBAN number.

Using this virtual UK bank account, you can receive payments in £(GBP) via credit card or bank transfer and make payments to your suppliers’ bank accounts or HMRC. You can also receive payments from marketplaces such as Amazon. You can send payments to other bank accounts within UK via bank transfer. You can use ATM cards or withdraw funds to your local bank account in your country.

We will examine your suitability, prepare the paperwork, facilitate the necessary documents, complete and submit your application for fast track approval. The process could take anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks.

Note: There are few restrictions with this virtual bank account and it may not be offered for certain high-risk regions/business types or individuals. But, we work closely with them to secure a bank account for most of our overseas customers. High street bank account setup (for non-UK residents)

Opening a high street bank account for companies with overseas resident directors is becoming increasingly difficult. However, we have special arrangements with a popular high street bank to facilitate this service.

We will examine your suitability, prepare all the paperwork, facilitate necessary documents, complete and submit your application with a UK high street bank for fast track approval. After submitting the application, you must travel to the UK soon with the necessary supporting documents, and present to the bank representatives face to face. If required, our banking representative will also attend the meeting alongside you.

Do I have to visit UK to register my new UK company?

No. You can officially register your UK limited company from wherever you live in the world, without visiting UK. Also, you do not have to be a UK citizen or resident to incorporate your new UK company.

You can complete the entire registration process online, using a simple 4 step process in our website.

What are the basic requirements for an overseas resident to register a UK company?

Company should have one director and one shareholder (over 16 years old). A same person can be both a director and a shareholder. The company should also have a UK registered office address (included with our international packages). These are the only basic requirements for an overseas resident to register a UK company.

What documents do you require to register my UK company?

We require ID proof and address proof documents for the shareholders and directors of the new company. Please note, you need to send these documents only after the company is incorporated and not before. So, you can start with the registration process straightaway and send these documents later, within 30 days of order completion via email. Please visit identification requirements for more information.

Can I register my existing overseas company in the UK?

Yes. You can do that. However, it is called as registering a place of business for your overseas company in the UK. The process is slightly complicated as it requires a UK resident to act as a permanent representative for the company in the UK. This person must be authorised to accept service of documents on behalf of the company. We do not currently offer this service, please refer Companies House website for more information.

The easier alternative is to register a new UK limited company with the overseas company owning its shares in this new company.

What are the points to remember while registering a UK limited company?

The company name should end with ‘Limited’ or ‘LTD’

  • A minimum of 1 director & 1 shareholder should be appointed (one person can be both)
  • The directors and shareholders shall be any nationality and reside anywhere in the world
  • The new company’s registered office address should be in the UK (all our international packages include registered office address)
  • Name and address of all appointments (director's or shareholders) should be submitted

How long will it take for my UK limited company to get approved?

It could take anywhere from 3 hours to 48 hours. The speed of the process entirely depends on the Companies House queue on any given day. If you are lucky it can be the same day and if you get caught on a busy queue, it could even take up to 48 hours.

What address should I use to register my new company?

All companies are legally required to have a registered address in the UK. It must be a physical address in the UK and not a post-box. This is the address where all the official communication will be sent. All our international packages include a prestigious London registered office address.

Why is it difficult to open business bank account in the UK?

It is becoming increasingly difficult to set up a business bank account with a major UK bank, unless you live and work in the UK. That’s because all UK banks follow strict anti-money laundering regulations and rules such as KYC (Know Your Customer) which makes it mandatory for the customer to visit the UK for a meeting with the bank. However, we do have some arrangements with a few banks who might offer business bank account for non-UK directors.

I am a UK citizen and I currently live abroad. Can you help me open a business bank account (with Barclays or Lloyds) without visiting UK?

No. Barclays or Lloyds bank do not offer business bank accounts for anyone who currently do not reside in the UK. It does not matter if you are a UK citizen or not. You must currently reside in the UK (with a legal residency status) and must visit the local branch to open the business bank account with Barclays or Lloyds bank.

Do I have to live in the UK to open a business bank account?

You do not have to live in the UK to open a business bank account. There are no restrictions legally that stops non-UK residents and non-UK citizens from opening a UK business bank account. However, most banks follow stringent procedures to open a business bank account for overseas residents/citizens because of money laundering, funding for illegal activities, fraud concerns and associated administrative costs.

Do you also help with opening savings/personal bank accounts?

No, we only provide help to open a business bank account for non-Uk resident directors who are already running or planning to register a business with us.

How long will it take to open a high street bank account?

It normally takes between 4-6 weeks but could happen before that time as well. Once your company is registered in the UK our team will contact you and get all the required information from you to prepare the paper work required for you to open your high street bank account. Our team will then arrange a meeting with the bank and if need will also accompany you to the meeting.

Do you arrange for a business visa?

No, we don’t deal with visa process, you can easily find such visa providers online, if needed we can refer you to a suitable visa agency who can aid you on the process.

Do I need a virtual office (mail forwarding address) to apply for a business bank account?

Yes, you will need a UK virtual office address (Mail forwarding) to apply for a business bank account. Fortunately, it is included in all our international packages expect the classic package, in which case you can purchase it separately.

What are the documents required to open a bank account?

Generally, you will have to provide 2 different documents for identity proof and address proof, although valid documents differ from bank to bank. In most cases, these are the acceptable forms of identification.

  • Driving licence
  • Passport
  • National identity card
  • Tenancy agreement or mortgage statement
  • An electricity or gas bill (less than 3 months old)
  • A recent (less than 3 months old) bank or credit card statement that’s not printed off the internet
  • A recent tax bill

In most case a valid identity proof document issued by your respective government should be enough. The bank will contact you directly regarding document requirements.
