Why do companies register for VAT?

Companies register for VAT if they expect their turnover to exceed £85,000 in the next 12 months. It is a legal requirement to register for VAT, unless your business is exempt. Even if your company turnover is expected to be less than £85,000 you can still register voluntarily.

How do we register for your VAT?

As soon as we incorporate your company, we will email you a questionnaire. This questionnaire will request additional information for VAT registration with HMRC. Once we receive the requested information, we will file it with HMRC on your behalf. VAT approval process usually takes between 8 and 21 days.

As soon as your VAT registration is approved, we will send the details to you by email. You will receive your VAT registration certificate by post from HMRC.

A confirmation statement is a document that company directors must complete at least once every 12 months and deliver to Companies House. It is used to confirm the registered details of a company at a certain date. If you fail to do this on time, Companies House may take steps to forcibly dissolve the company and it may also affect the company credit rating adversely.

Do I have to live in the UK to form my limited company?

No. You do not have to be a UK resident. You can be a citizen and resident of another country. You can officially register a UK limited company from wherever you live in the world and establish your presence in the UK. However, your company should have a UK registered office address (included in our global all-inclusive package).

Do I need to provide my overseas home address to form the new UK company?

Yes. You must provide your overseas home address to register your company. However, you should also have a physical UK address as your registered office. All our global packages include registered office address.

Can I use my overseas home address as my registered address?

No. You must use a physical UK address as your registered office address.

What will be the registered office address for my new company?

Will you ship any packages to my international address?

What are your annual renewal charges for global packages?

The registration fee is just one-time, and you don’t have to pay anything the next year. However, address services should be renewed yearly. The package price covers your entire first year.The annual renewal charges for global package covers the following services and their prices are as given below:

Registered office service: £35 + VAT (for 12 months)

Directors address service: £12 + VAT (for 12 months per officer)

Will my company statutory mail be forwarded internationally?

Yes. All your company statutory mail will be received at our office (your registered office). It will be opened, scanned and send to you electronically (via email).

Will you also take care of my annual accounts?

Our packages do not cover filing of company accounts. However, we will introduce you to an accountant who can help with this. We have partnered with a premier UK accountancy firm to help all our overseas clients. We will introduce you with them for a FREE consultation. You can ask any questions and get them clarified during this initial consultation for FREE of charge.

Is it simple to open a business bank account in the UK?

It is very easy to form a UK limited company from anywhere in the world. However, the same cannot be said about opening a business bank account. It is becoming increasingly difficult to set up a business bank account with a major UK bank, unless you live and work in the UK. We have a few possible alternative options for you to consider.
